COVID-19-Update: Lehr- und Prüfungsbetrieb ab 22.11.2021

Liebe Lehrende!

Die Bundesregierung hat heute erneut einen Lockdown ab Montag, den 22. November 2021 bis 12. Dezember 2021 verkündet. Es gilt in dieser Situation, Kontakte vor Ort auf das Notwendigste zu reduzieren. Daher muss der Lehrbetrieb wieder auf ein weitgehend digitales Setting umgestellt werden. Das Verlassen des Wohnortes zum Zwecke der Ausbildung und Ausübung des Berufs ist weiterhin möglich. Fachlich zwingend erforderliche Vor-Ort-Lehre kann unter verschärften Sicherheitsmaßnahmen stattfinden. Prüfungen können im geplanten Setting bleiben. 

Um den vor Ort Betrieb für Studium und Lehre so sicher wie möglich zu machen, wird zusätzlich zu allen bestehenden Hygiene- und Sicherheitsmaßnahmen ein verpflichtender PCR-Test (48 Stunden) für alle Beteiligten (Lehrende, Studierende, Mitarbeiter*innen etc.) verlangt.  Dieser ist auch von Geimpften und Genesenen zu erbringen. Wir leisten durch diese Maßnahmen einen Beitrag zur Verringerung der Infektionszahlen in Österreich.

Maßnahmen von 22. November bis 12. Dezember 2021

Lehrbetrieb

• Vorlesungen (nicht-prüfungsimmanente Lehrveranstaltungen) werden generell auf digital umgestellt.
• Prüfungsimmanente Lehrveranstaltungen (insb. Laborlehre, Sport), die nur vor Ort stattfinden können, werden weiter vor Ort abgehalten, sofern dies fachlich unbedingt erforderlich ist. 
• Exkursionen finden während des Lockdowns nicht statt. Bitte nehmen Sie bzgl. Ersatzangeboten oder Verschiebungen Kontakt mit Ihrer SPL auf.
• Es besteht die Pflicht zur Dokumentation der Anwesenheit durch die Lehrenden. Die Listen sind im Fall von Infektionsmeldungen der Gesundheitsbehörde zu übermitteln.
• Bitte aktualisieren Sie die Informationen zu Ihren Lehrveranstaltungen in u:find (mit UPDATE und Datum). Informieren Sie Ihre Studierenden per Mail über das u:space Lehrendeninterface.
• Auch wenn es zu keinen Änderungen kommt, informieren Sie die Studierenden darüber.
  
• Der Entlehnbetrieb der Universitätsbibliothek ist weiterhin geöffnet. Student-Spaces in den Universitätsgebäuden können genutzt werden.

Prüfungsbetrieb

• Prüfungen können weiterhin im gewählten Setting (vor Ort oder digital) stattfinden.
• Ein Wechsel von "vor Ort" auf digital ist möglich; bitte planen Sie für sich und die Studierenden genug Vorbereitungszeit für das geänderte Format ein und melden Sie sich beim SSC, damit die Räume ggf. anderweitig genutzt werden können.
• Studierende, die an Prüfungen vor Ort nicht teilnehmen können oder wollen, können sich "aus wichtigem Grund" kurzfristig abmelden.
• Bitte informieren Sie Ihre Studierenden über die weitere Vorgehensweise und aktualisieren Sie die Informationen im u:find.

Hygiene- und Sicherheitsmaßnahmen

Verpflichtender PCR-Test:

• Zur Sicherstellung einer "geringen epidemiologischen Gefahr" ist von allen Studierenden und Lehrenden/Prüfer*innen/Prüfungsaufsichten ein gültiger PCR-Test zu erbringen - auch von Geimpften und Genesenen, sollten Einheiten oder Prüfungen vor Ort stattfinden. Sollte es aus organisatorischen Gründen, die nicht im eigenen Einflussbereich liegen (z.B. verspätetes Ergebnis), nicht möglich sein, einen aktuell gültigen PCR-Test rechtzeitig zu erbringen, kann ausnahmsweise auch ein gültiger Antigentest erbracht werden. Dieser muss von einer befugten Stelle (z.B. Apotheke, Testzentrum, Testcontainer vor dem Hauptgebäude etc.) abgenommen worden sein.  

2,5G Regel:

• Für den Zutritt zu Universitätsgebäuden ist ein 2,5G-Nachweis erforderlich, unabhängig davon, zu welchem Zweck ein Gebäude betreten wird.
• Halten Sie bitte den Nachweis (Grüner Pass) und Ihren Ausweis griffbereit, damit ermöglichen Sie den Kolleg*innen eine rasche Kontrolle. 

FFP2-Maskenpflicht:

• Die FFP2-Maske muss im gesamten Lehr- und Prüfungsbetrieb vor Ort weiterhin getragen werden (Ausnahme: Personen, die sprechen).
• Auch in den Eingangsbereichen und Gängen ist eine FFP2-Maske zu tragen.

Dear teachers,

Today, the Federal Government has announced a lockdown from Monday, 22 November 2021 until 12 December 2021. In this situation, we have to reduce the number of contacts on site to a minimum. Therefore, teaching operations have to take place in a digital format again as far as possible. Leaving the place of residence for the purpose of studies and for professional reasons is still possible. Courses that absolutely have to take place on site from a didactic point of view can take place on site subject to stricter safety measures. Exams can take place in the planned format. 

To ensure safety to the best extent possible during on-site courses and exams, all persons present (teachers, students, employees, etc.) have to be able to present a current PCR test result (valid for 48 hours) in addition to the existing hygiene rules and rules of conduct.  This also applies to persons who are vaccinated or have recovered from a COVID-19 infection. With these measures, we contribute to reducing the number of infections in Austria.

Measures from 22 November to 12 December 2021

Courses

• In general, all lectures (courses with non-continuous assessment) are changed to a digital format.
• Courses with continuous assessment (especially laboratory courses, sport courses), which can only take place on site, continue to be held on site if absolutely necessary from a didactic point of view. 
• Field trips are not taking place during the lockdown. Please contact your directorate of studies (SPL) about alternative offers or postponements.
• Teachers are obliged to keep attendance documentation. In case of a confirmed COVID-19 infection, attendance lists have to be submitted to the health authorities.
• Please update the information about your courses on u:find (with UPDATE and the date on which you made the changes) and inform your students about the changes by sending an e-mail via the teacher interface of u:space. 

• Even if there are no changes, please inform your students.

• The lending service of the Vienna University Library is still open. Student Spaces in the university buildings can be used.

Exams

• Exams are held in the specified format (on site or online).
• Changing the format of the exam from “on site” to online is possible. However, please schedule enough time for yourself and for your students to prepare for the changed format and notify the SSC to ensure that the rooms can be used for other purposes.
• Students who are not able to or do not want to participate in exams on site, may deregister for an important reason at short notice.
• Please inform your students about the further procedure and update the information about your exams on u:find.

Hygiene and safety measures

Mandatory PCR test:

• To guarantee a “low epidemiological risk”, all students and teachers/examiners/invigilators present during on-site course units or exams have to present a valid PCR test result. This also applies to persons who are vaccinated or have recovered from a COVID-19 infection. If it is not possible for organisational reasons that you cannot influence (e.g. delayed delivery of a test result) to present a current, valid PCR test result in due time, you can also present a valid antigen test by way of exception. This antigen test has to be carried out by an authorised body (e.g. pharmacy, testing station, test box in front of the Main Building, etc.).  

2.5 G rule:

• When entering the university buildings, you need to be able to present proof of being PCR-tested, vaccinated or of having recovered from an infection (2.5 G rule) regardless of the reason for entering the building.
• Keep your proof (green pass) and your identity card ready to allow for quick checks. 

Mandatory use of FFP2 face masks:

• During on-site courses and exams, the use of FFP2 face masks continues to be mandatory (except for oral contributions by persons present).
• The use of FFP2 face masks is also mandatory in the entrance areas and corridors.
