Liebe Studierende!

Sie haben ein weiteres, weitgehend digitales Semester absolviert, in dem Sie erneut großes Engagement und Flexibilität bewiesen haben - vielen Dank dafür! Lehrende und Mitarbeiter*innen der Universität Wien unterstützen Sie bestmöglich in Ihrem Studium. Die bereits fast ein Jahr andauernde Situation stellt uns alle vor große Herausforderungen, nutzen Sie daher unsere digitalen Unterstützungsangebote für Ihr Studium und zögern Sie bitte nicht, auch Hilfe in Anspruch zu nehmen, wenn Sie es brauchen. Bitte finden Sie folgend Informationen zum Sommersemester sowie Updates zum Umgang mit der Pandemie.

Studieren im Sommersemester

Aufgrund der derzeitigen COVID-19 Entwicklung wird der Lehrbetrieb wie bisher abgehalten und auch im kommenden Sommersemester weitgehend digital stattfinden. Mit dieser frühzeitigen Festlegung wollen wir auch Ihnen die notwendige Planungssicherheit für die kommenden Wochen geben. Ob teils hybrides Studieren in der zweiten Hälfte des Semesters möglich sein wird, hängt von den Entwicklungen in den nächsten Wochen ab.

Student Spaces, Lesesäle und Computer Rooms

Ab Montag, 22.2.2021, können bestimmte Räumlichkeiten der Universität Wien in begrenztem Ausmaß und unter Einhaltung der COVID-19 Hygiene- und Verhaltensregeln wieder genutzt werden. Aufgrund der Abstandsregelung ist das Kontingent an Studier- und Lernplätzen begrenzt – eine Voranmeldung/Reservierung ist teilweise erforderlich. Die Universität empfiehlt in jedem Fall vor einem Besuch das Angebot der Schnelltests (z.B. der Stadt Wien) in Anspruch zu nehmen. Bitte geben Sie auf sich und andere Acht!

Für den gesamten Aufenthalt an der Universität gilt:

• FFP2-Maskenpflicht
• Mindestabstand von 2 Metern
• ausschließlich markierte Sitzplätze benutzen
• teilweise Anmeldung erforderlich

COVID-19 Meldewesen

Bei COVID-19 Verdacht

• Hotline 1450 anrufen
• nach Hause gehen bzw. zu Hause bleiben
• bei bestätigtem Verdachts- oder Infektionsfall die Universität informieren
  

Studierende nutzen dafür den Servicedesk für COVID-19 Meldungen über

Allgemein gilt der Grundsatz: Wer sich krank fühlt, bleibt zu Hause.

Dear students,

You have completed another rather digital semester in which you have again shown great commitment and flexibility. Thank you very much for this. Teachers and employees of the University of Vienna provide the best possible support to you during your studies. We are all facing major challenges due to the situation, with which we have been dealing for almost a year now. Therefore, please make use of the digital services supporting you during your studies and do not hesitate to accept help if you need it. This newsletter provides information about the summer semester as well as updates about dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.

We wish you every success and a lot of energy for the coming semester. We hope that you will be able to relax during the semester break.

Studying in the summer semester

Due to the current developments regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, courses will continue to be held in a digital format as far as possible also in the coming summer semester. By already deciding to hold courses in a digital format, we want to provide you with planning security for the coming weeks. Whether it will be possible to change courses to a more hybrid format in the second half of the summer semester will depend on the developments in the coming weeks.

Student Spaces, reading rooms and computer rooms

From Monday, 22 February 2021, onwards, certain rooms at the University of Vienna can be used again to a limited extent, subject to the applicable COVID-19 hygiene rules and rules of conduct. Due to the minimum distance requirement, the number of available study places is limited. You may have to register in advance or reserve a seat. The University strongly recommends taking a rapid test (e.g. offered by the City of Vienna) before coming to the University. Please take care of yourself and the people around you.

Please adhere to the following regulations throughout your stay at the University:

• Mandatory use of FFP2 face masks
• Minimum distance of 2 metres
• Use of labelled seats only
• Registration necessary in some cases

Reporting suspected and confirmed COVID-19 infections

In the event of a suspected COVID-19 infection

• call the hotline 1450,
• go home and/or stay at home.
• Notify the University in case of a suspected or confirmed COVID-19 infection.
  

Students can use the service desk to report a suspected or confirmed COVID-19 infection at studying.univie.ac.at/info and/or https://servicedesk.univie.ac.at/plugins/servlet/desk/portal/69.

In general, adhere to the principle of staying at home when sick.
