ACSL Community Challenge

Das Sport-Team der Uni Wien, die "Emperors", rufen zur sportlichen Challenge auf. Da die Basketball- und Football-Mannschaften derzeit leider nicht spielen können, veranstaltet die Austrian College Sports League (ACSL) heuer eine Community-Challenge. Dort können die "Communities" der Universitäts-Mannschaften gegeneinander antreten und für ihre Teams Punkte sammeln.

Der Ablauf: Jeden Monat gibt es eine neue Aufgabe. So können Studierende der Universität Wien im April – in den Teamfarben hellgrau, weiß und/oder gold bekleidet – ein kleines Workout machen und davon ein Beweisfoto-/video auf Instagram posten. Damit dieses auch gezählt wird, muss der Account der ACSL (@acslsports) und jener der "Emperors" (@uniwienempoerors) im Instagram-Post markiert werden, inklusive #Communitychallenge.

Das Social Media Team der Uni Wien freut sich, wenn Sie den Instagram-Kanal gleich dazu markieren (@univienna). Wer keinen Instagram Account hat, kann auch ein Video direkt auf der ACSL-Website über den Button "Upload" hochladen. Dort finden Sie auch Updates zu kommenden Aufgaben.

Neue Regelung für Auslandsaufenthalte bei COVID-19-bedingter Reisewarnung

Die Regelungen für Aufenthalte im Rahmen von Mobilitätsprogrammen ab 1. Juni 2021 werden geändert, sodass Aufenthalte auch bei COVID-19-bedingten Reisewarnungen möglich sein werden. Das International Office wird Studierende, die bereits für einen Auslandsaufenthalt nominiert sind, zu den Details der Regelung direkt informieren.  

Restplatzvergabe für das Non-EU Student Exchange Program im SoSe 2022

Das International Office bietet dieses Jahr erstmals Restplätze für das Non-EU Student Exchange Program für das Sommersemester 2022 an. Bewerben Sie sich bis zum 15. Mai 2021 und verbringen Sie ein Semester an einer unserer Partneruniversitäten außerhalb Europas! Die Voraussetzungen und Bewerbungsprozedere sind ident zur Hauptplatzvergabe.

Ende der Antragsfrist für Masterstudien mit Aufnahmeverfahren

Am 3. Mai 2021 endet die Antragsfrist für Masterstudien mit Aufnahmeverfahren. Diese Studiengänge werden auf Englisch angeboten (mit Ausnahme des Masterstudiums Psychologie) und werden häufig als Jahrgänge geführt. Viele von ihnen haben eine starke internationale Studierenden-Community. Zu den Masterstudien mit Aufnahmeverfahren gehören beispielsweise Global Demography, Research in Economics and Finance oder Evolutionary Systems Biology.

ACSL Community Challenge

The Emperors, the sports team of the University of Vienna, invite you to participate in a sports challenge. As the basketball and football teams are currently not able to compete, the Austrian College Sports League (ACSL) is organising a community challenge this year. As part of this challenge, the ‘communities’ of the university teams can compete against each other and collect points for their teams.

This is how it works: There is a new challenge every month. In April, for example, students of the University of Vienna can do a short workout – dressed in the team colours light grey, white and/or gold – and post a photo or video of them working out as evidence on Instagram. For your contribution to count, you have to tag both the ACSL account (@acslsports) and the Emperors’ account (@uniwienempoerors) in your Instagram post.

The Social Media Team of the University of Vienna would be happy if you tag the University’s Instagram channel (@univienna) as well. If you do not have an Instagram account, you can also upload your video directly to the ACSL website via the ‘Upload’ button. On the ACSL website you will also find updates about the upcoming challenges.

STUDYING ABROAD

New regulations for stays abroad subject to COVID-19-related travel warnings

The regulations for stays abroad from 1 June 2021 onwards as part of mobility programmes will be amended to ensure that students can also go and stay abroad when travel warnings apply due to COVID-19. The International Office will inform students who are already nominated for a stay abroad about the details of the regulation directly.  

Second application round for the Non-EU Student Exchange Program in the summer semester of 2022

This year, for the first time, the International Office offers a second application round for remaining spots on the Non-EU Student Exchange Program for the summer semester of 2022. Submit your application by 15 May 2021 and spend a semester abroad at one of our partner universities outside of Europe. The prerequisites and application procedure are the same as for the first application round.

End of the application period for master's programmes that are subject to an admission procedure

The application period for master's programmes that are subject to an admission procedure ends on 3 May 2021. With the exception of the master’s programme in Psychology, the language of instruction in these degree programmes is English.  Most of the programmes have a strong international community of students, which are often referred to as cohorts. The master’s programmes that are subject to an admission procedure include Global Demography, Research in Economics and Finance or Evolutionary Systems Biology.
