COVID-19 Update

Aufgrund der aktuellen COVID-19 Situation mit hohen Infektionszahlen bleiben die derzeit geltenden Hygiene- und Sicherheitsbestimmungen bestehen. Lehre kann weiterhin vor Ort stattfinden; die Einhaltung der FFP2-Maskenpflicht gilt unverändert in allen Innenräumen (ausgenommen Vorträge und Redebeiträge). Wir ersuchen Sie, auf diesem Weg Ihre Verantwortung für einen sicheren Studienbetrieb wahrzunehmen.

Besser lernen im Lerncamp

Im "Lerncamp" setzen sich Studierende unterstützt von erfahrenen STEOP- und Schreibassistent*innen mit dem eigenen Lernen auseinander und erarbeiten Strategien, um mehr Erfolg beim Studieren zu haben.

Wenn Sie teilnehmen werden Sie: 

• Lernstrategien kennenlernen, um das eigene Lernen zu verbessern, 
• neue Lerntechniken erarbeiten,
• Inspiration und Motivation fürs Studieren bekommen.

Wie heißt es so schön: Better safe than sorry! Gehen Sie auf Nummer sicher und speichern Ihre Daten nochmal extra ab? Beim Schreiben einer Seminararbeit kann im schlimmsten Fall viel mühsame Recherche verloren gehen.
Damit aber genau das nicht passiert, bekommen alle Studierenden vom ZID (Zentraler Informatikdienst) Speicherplatz zur Verfügung gestellt.

COVID-19 update

Due to the current COVID-19 situation and the high number of infections, the currently applicable hygiene rules and safety provisions continue to apply. Courses can still take place on site; wearing an FFP2 face mask is still mandatory (except for people lecturing or oral contributions by participants) in all interior spaces of the University. However, we ask you to assume responsibility for safe on-site studies.

Studying better with the “study camp”

In the “study camp”, students focus on their own learning habits and develop strategies for more successful studies together with experienced STEOP and writing assistants.

During the camp you will: 

• learn about learning strategies to improve your learning process; 
• develop new learning techniques and
• find inspiration and motivation for your studies.

Starting a career

Gaining a foothold in the professional world and starting a career? uniport, the University of Vienna's careers service, has a wide range of offers to support you on the way.

• Secure a spot in the long night of businesses 2022 (Lange Nacht der Unternehmen) on 25 April and take a look behind the scenes of different employers. We recommend being quick.
• Executives and career starters discuss diversity in businesses in the job talk “Streiten bis die Funken sprühen – Diversität als Innovationsfaktor” (arguing until the sparks are flying – diversity fuelling innovation).

In addition, uniport offers workshops and counselling to help you start a career.

As the saying goes: Better safe than sorry! Are you playing it safe and storing your data on a back-up storage medium? If worst comes to worst, lots of tedious research can be lost when writing a seminar paper.
To prevent this from happening, the ZID (Vienna University Computer Center) provides storage space to all students.

You can store your data safely in the u:cloud, the cloud solution of the University of Vienna.
