Liebe Studierende,
Wir hoffen ihr habt dieses ereignisreiche Sommersemester gut überstanden. Fünf Wochen noch, dann startet wieder die vorlesungsfreie Zeit.
Wir sind weiterhin in den aktuellen turbulenten Zeiten für dich da und vertreten deine Anliegen als Studierende an der Uni Wien.

Workshop: "Prüfungsangst überwinden!": Di, 7.6. 9:00-12:00
Die ÖH Uni Wien organisiert zusammen mit der Psychologischen Studierendenberatung einen Workshop unter dem Motto "Prüfungsangst überwinden!".
In diesem Workshop wird erarbeitet, was Prüfungsangst ist, woher sie kommt und was du tun kannst, um sie zu mildern. Zudem gibt es Hinweise, an welche Stellen du dich wenden kannst, wenn du Hilfe brauchst.
Dennoch darf Prüfungsangst nicht als rein "individuelles Problem" angesehen werden: das verschulte und restriktive Uni-System, zunehmende Prekarisierung und steigender "Leistungs"druck fördern das Aufkommen von Prüfungsangst. Als ÖH Uni Wien kritisieren wir diese gesellschaftlichen Entwicklungen und setzen uns für bessere Studienbedingungen ein.
Der Workshop findet am Di, 7.6. 9:00-12:00 (vorlesungsfrei) in Räumlichkeiten der Uni Wien statt.

Demo 28.5. : Klimagerechtigkeit statt Betonpolitik
Das #LobauBleibt Bündnis organisiert eine Großdemo am Sa, 28.5. Hier der Aufruf von FFF: “Mit Lobau- und Stadtautobahn soll Wien an den LKW-Schwerverkehr angebunden werden, der riesige Mengen an Waren zu neuen Logistikzentren am Stadtrand sowie zum Flughafen Schwechat fährt. Das dient vor allem dem Interesse von Großkonzernen und Baukartellenfirmen. Statt Klimazerstörung einzubetonieren, sollte Ludwig nach dem historischen Versprechen der SPÖ für soziale Infrastruktur sorgen.
Trotz massiver Proteste gegen Lobau- und Stadtautobahn halten Michael Ludwig, Ulli Sima und Co an der Lobau-Autobahn fest. Deshalb gehen wir am 28.5., dem Parteitag der SPÖ Wien, zu Tausenden auf die Straße und kippen dieses Projekt - für ein gutes Leben für alle!
Sei dabei und sag allen Bescheid - gemeinsam stoppen wir endgültig Österreichs fossiles Megaprojekt Nummer 1!”
Diesem Aufruf schließen wir uns an und legen allen Menschen, denen Klimagerechtigkeit wichtig ist, nahe sich zu solidarisieren und sich dem Protest anzuschließen.

Tipping Points: ‘Hands on! Direkte Aktion und politische Arbeit abseits von Protest’
Tipping Points sind Workshop-Wochenenden mit Skills und Methoden für selbstorganisierte, politische Gruppen und zivilgesellschaftliche Organisationen.
Neben den üblichen Workshops wie Finanzen, Moderation und Nachhaltiger Aktivismus, gibt es diesmal das Motto: ‘Hands on! Direct Action und politische Arbeit abseits von Protest’.

Dear Students,
We hope you have been well during this eventful summer semester. Five more weeks, then the lecture-free months start again!
We continue to be there for you in the current turbulent times and represent your concerns as students at the University of Vienna.

Workshop: "Overcoming Test Anxiety": Tue, 7.6. 9:00-12:00
Together with the Psychological Student Counselling Service the ÖH Uni Wien is organising a workshop with the motto "Overcoming Test Anxiety".
In this workshop it will be elaborated what test anxiety and exam nerves are, where they come from and what you can do to alleviate them. In addition, there are tips on where you can get help if needed.
However, test anxiety should not be seen as a purely "individual problem": the school-based and restrictive university system, increasing precariousness and rising "performance"-pressure promote the emergence of test anxiety. As ÖH Uni Wien, we criticise these social developments and campaign for better study conditions.
The workshop will take place on Tue, 7.6. 9:00-12:00 (lecture-free day) at the Uni Wien.
If you want to take part in the workshop, please register until Fr, 3.6. at the latest via the email address bipol@oeh.univie.ac.at with the subject: "Workshop: Overcoming exam nerves" (first come first served!).
Demo 28.5. : Climate justice instead of fossil politics
The #LobauBleibt alliance is organising a big demonstration on Sat, 28.5. Here is the (translated) rallying call of FFF:
‘With the Lobau- and Stadtautobahn, Vienna is to be connected to heavy truck traffic, which transports huge amounts of goods to new logistics centres on the outskirts of the city as well as to the Schwechat airport. This mainly serves the interests of large corporations and construction cartel companies. Instead of cementing climate destruction, Ludwig should provide social infrastructure according to the historic promise of the SPÖ.
Despite massive protests against the Lobau- and Stadtautobahn, Michael Ludwig, Ulli Sima and Co are sticking to the Lobau motorway. Therefore, on 28 May - the day of the SPÖ Vienna party conference - thousands of us will take to the streets and overturn this project - for a good life for everyone!
Be there and let everyone know - together we will finally stop Austria's fossil mega-project number 1!
We join this call and encourage all people who care about climate justice to show solidarity and participate in the protest.

Tipping Points - Hands on! Direct action and political work beyond protest.
Tipping Points are workshop weekends offering skills and methods for self-organised, political groups and civil society organisations.
Besides the usual workshops like finance, facilitation and sustainable activism, this time's motto is: “Hands on! Direct Action and political work beyond protest”.

Costs: workshops and meals for a free donation, sleeping places are provided, travel expenses can be reimbursed.
