PhaNuSpo Scientific Lecture Series "Meet the Expert"

  • Registration is open in u:space until 27.02.2024, 10am.
  • Kick off meeting will be held online on: 03.24, 15:30-16:15

Each lecture in the series consists of a 'Meet the Expert' roundtable with the invited guest speakers and a talk on their area of research. View the agenda here.


New: Responsible Conduct of Research

  • First module on 23 May 2024, 8:00-13:00 at HS4 in UZA2.
  • Trainer: Marcel van der Heyden, Utrecht University, The Netherlands.
  • Registration at PhaNuSpo website.

In the first module, participants will learn strategies on discussing and dealing with issues and dilemmas that arise in life science research; they will learn to deal with these issues from an RCR perspective. Participants will also learn to identify breach of RCR by other researchers, e.g. in publications, research proposals and behaviour

Digital Innovation Lab

  • coordinated by Research Services and Career Development and the Research Network Data Science.
  • The next Digital iLab starts on 5 March 2024.
  • Registration deadline: 22 February 2024.
  • Target group: Master's students, PhD students and postdocs from all discipline.

In this programme (8 ECTS), aspiring innovators can learn the most important tools and principles of entrepreneurship. The best teams will have the chance to realise their ideas and participate in the University of Vienna's Pre-Seed Programme and the INiTS SCALEup Programme.

 

xbio Lab

  • A joint initiative of the University of Vienna and xista science ventures.
  • Course starts on 15 April, apply by 15 March
  • 1-week masterclass
  • Target group: Academic researchers of all levels, as well as early career professionals.

Circle U. Summer School: Rethinking Global Health

  • 01-06 July 2024 in Louvain-La-Neuve, Belgium.

The Summer School will offer a unique environment of exchange between academics and students on a variety of topics reflecting the diversity of the challenges and opportunities of Global Health. Open to PhD students from all disciplines.
