Schon gewusst? Das Center for Teaching and Learning bietet euch viele Angebote rund ums Studieren, Lernen und Schreiben!

• Egal ob ihr Orientierung im ersten Semester,

• Unterstützung beim Schreiben der Bachelor- oder Masterarbeit braucht.

Uni Wien "Communities"

Die Communities der Uni Wien sind so divers wie ihre Studierenden. Von Sport und Kultur bis Sprachen und Alumni ist für alle etwas dabei. Wir wollen euch hier ein paar kommende Veranstaltungen und Mitmachangebote aufzeigen. Einen Überblick über alle Communities findet ihr auf der Website.

• Students Acting Shakespeare Society: Die Students Acting Shakespeare Society (SASS) startet mit dem Stück "The Greeks Have No Devil“ ins neue Semester. Die nächste Vorstellung findet am 12. März um 14:00 und um 19:00 statt. Am 20. März gibt’s außerdem ein Kennenlerntreffen für interessierte Studierende. Alle weiteren Infos findet ihr auf Facebook und Instagram unter @sassvienna.
• Erasmus Student Network: Auch das Erasmus Student Network (ESN) der Uni Wien möchte euch kennen lernen. Unter dem Motto „Everybody Needs a Buddy“ bringt der Verein lokale und internationale Studierende zusammen. Alle Infos zum Buddysystem findet ihr hier.
• Uni Wien Emperors: Die Football- und Basketballteams der Emperors sind auch wieder am Start. Los geht es am 12. März mit dem Basketball-Match gegen die WU Wien. Die Football-Saison beginnt dann voraussichtlich im April. Um nichts zu verpassen, folgt am besten den @uniwienemperors auf Instagram.
• USI: Sport die Zweite! Das USI bietet wieder günstige Sportkurse für die Studierenden der Uni Wien an. Von A wie Areal Dance bist Z wie Zumba ist für alle etwas dabei. Hier geht's zum Kursangebot.

Information des Senats: Hearings zur Neuwahl des/der Rektor*in

Nach elf Jahren endet am 30. September 2022 die Funktionsperiode des amtierenden Rektors Heinz W. Engl. Deshalb lädt der Senat der Universität Wien zu den Hearings für die Neubestellung des/der Rektor*in. Sechs Bewerber*innen stellen sich im Rahmen von Hearings vor. Mitarbeiter*innen und Studierende können die Vorträge im Audimax oder online mitverfolgen. Weitere Infos findet ihr im folgenden Link:

CTL offers for students

Have you already heard? Also this year, the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) has a wide range of offers for studying, teaching and writing.

Whether you are

• looking for guidance in the first semester,
• help writing your first academic papers or
• support in writing your bachelor’s or master’s thesis.

The CTL has something to offer for everyone.

You can obtain further information on the CTL website or in person from 1 March onwards at the CTL Peer Point on the top floor of the NIG.

Communities at the University of Vienna

The communities at the University of Vienna are as diverse as its students. Ranging from sports and culture to languages and alumni, there is a community for everyone. You can find information about some upcoming events and opportunities to participate below. An overview of all communities is available on the University of Vienna’s website.

• Students Acting Shakespeare Society: The Students Acting Shakespeare Society (SASS) starts into the new semester with the play The Greeks Have No Devil. The next performance takes place on 12 March at 14:00 and 19:00 respectively. In addition, a get-to-know meeting for interested students takes place on 20 March. Further information is available on Facebook and Instagram under @sassvienna.
• Erasmus Student Network: The Erasmus Student Network (ESN) of the University of Vienna also wants to get to know you. Under the motto “Everybody Needs a Buddy”, the network brings together local and international students. Further information about the buddy system is available on the ESN website.
• University of Vienna Emperors: The football and basketball teams of the Emperors are also ready to go again. In the season opener on 12 March, the Emperors take on the team of the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU). The football season is expected to start in April. Follow the @uniwienemperors on Instagram so you do not miss a thing.
• USI: Sports again... The University Sport Institute (USI) offers students of the University of Vienna affordable sports courses. Ranging from A as in areal dance to Z as in Zumba, the USI has something to offer for everyone. Click here to see the range of USI courses.

Information of the Senate: Hearings for the election of a new Rector

After a period of eleven years, the term of office of our current Rector Heinz W. Engl ends on 30 September 2022. Therefore, the Senate of the University of Vienna extends an invitation to participate in the hearings for the election of a new Rector. Six applicants will present themselves in these hearings. Employees and students can attend the lectures in the Audimax or follow them online. Further information is available under the following link:
